The Methods Board has been and continues to be involved in activities to provide guidance for sampling and analytical methods comparability as related to the proposed National Monitoring Network. Chapter 4 of the NMN report is titled "Importance of Comparable Data" and includes information on:

- Metadata
- Access to data and related information
