National Monitoring Network

Provides advice, counsel, and recommendations for the creation of a coordinated, comprehensive National Water Quality Monitoring Network, one of the recommendations of the U.S. Commission on Ocean Policy. The development of the National Water Quality Monitoring Network is now part of the President's Ocean Action Plan. A draft National Monitoring Network Report has been provided to the Advisory Committee on Water Information for approval and further action.

Watershed Components Interactions (Sunset July 2006)

Purpose: To improve the understanding and quntification of the factors that affect water quality to enable the creation of effective monitoring and remediation strategies.

This work group was chaired by Mary Ambrose, Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), and was sunset in July 2006.
