Workgroups

Much of the Council's efforts are accomplished through volunteer participation in workgroups. You are encouraged to visit each page to learn more about them.

Collaboration and Outreach
		Collaboration and Outreach works to build partnerships that foster collaboration and communication within the water-quality monitoring community. This workgroup also leads efforts to publish biannual newsletter and provides key support to the biennial National Monitoring Conference.
Methods and Data Comparability Board
		Provides a forum to evaluate and promote methods and technologies that facilitate comparability among water-quality monitoring and analytical methods. Methods and Data Comparability Board National Environmental Methods Index Aquatic Sensors Workgroup

Water Information Strategies (WIS)
		The Water Information Strategies workgroup defines and promotes strategies for monitoring designs; data management, access, and exchange; data integration and analysis; and information reporting to address water needs.

National Monitoring Network for Coastal Waters and Their Tributaries
	The National Monitoring Network for Coastal Waters and Their Tributaries Workgroup was formed to help the Council better address coastal water-quality monitoring issues.
